Southwest Adds More Routes to Hawaii

Southwest Airlines is ramping up flights to Hawaii. It begins service from Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Phoenix to the islands in June and is beefing up service on existing routes.

The Dallas based carrier will also start flying from Los Angeles to Kauai and Kona next month.

The new routes will operate at least daily with Los Angeles-Maui running up to three times a day.

Southwest already flies to Hawaii from Californian airports in Oakland, Sacramento, San Jose, Long Beach and San Diego.

In San Diego it is adding routes to Maui, Lihue and Kona and upping service to Honolulu to twice a day.
